Courtney Purdy Selected as an 1871 Award Winner

Our 2018-2020 intern and rising Senior in West Chester University’s Honors College, Courtney Purdy, is being honored with the prestigious 1871 Award. A select group of West Chester University students, who are high-achieving in both the academic and co-curricular realms, are being recognized for their outstanding accomplishments related to Academics, Leadership, Community Engagement, and Career Readiness.

It was a pleasure to write a letter of recommendation to speak to Courtney’s outstanding drive and strong work ethic. She possesses a level of business savvy that puts her light years ahead of other young adults. We are proud that Courtney has exemplified Xavier’s core values while working as our intern and as a student preparing for her future.

The 1871 award presentation is tentatively scheduled to take place in the fall on the campus of West Chester University. The entire team at Xavier Creative House joins together to congratulate Courtney on this achievement and wish her the best as she completes her final year of college and pursues a career in occupational therapy.
