Xavier Creative House Supports National Read Across America Day
Reading to the children at the Pathway School
On Thursday, March 2, 2017, Sunny Beth White joined the nation in celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss by reading to the children at the Pathway School. National Read Across America Day is an annual event created by the National Education Association calling all children and youth in every community across the United States to celebrate reading. Sunny is a devoted supporter of the Pathway School, where innovative and individually tailored academic, social, and life-skills programs are designed to promote the ongoing success and independence of young people with special needs. Xavier supports the non-profit’s annual gala and donors’ book with evocative designs that promote interest in the organization. Sunny shares her favorite interaction with Pathways, “I just love watching the kids reaction to a book they picked especially for Read Across America Day.” Although most years, it is a Dr. Suess book, this year the students at Pathways surprised Sunny by asking her to read Whoopi Goldberg’s Big Book of Manners, a comical, kid-friendly book that makes learning manners fun. Xavier Creative House invites their entire professional network to get involved in the community. Whether it is reading a book or helping fund a cause, it is just good business to give back.
