XAVIER CREATIVE HOUSE TEAM-BUILDING ACTIVITY RESULTS IN DONATION TO RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF DELAWARE
HELPING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES navigating a health event is PERFECTLY ALIGNED WITH OUR purpose TO create authentic?connections that help improve health/outcomes.
PHILADELPHIA, January 26, 2023—Today, Xavier Creative House employees from across the U.S. came together at The Inn at Grace Winery to participate in a team-bonding activity that gave back to the local community. The staff built 27 plush toy bears, each with a T-shirt personalized by a hand-drawn “Message of Hope” from participants. The stuffed animals were donated to children and families associated with the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.
The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware serves families with seriously ill children by enabling access to medical care and providing a place that offers comfort, hope and togetherness. In addition to 51 guest rooms, they operate two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms® in the Women and Children’s Center at Christiana Care’s Newark Campus and Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. Family Rooms provide a quiet, peaceful space where families can rest and unwind – just steps away from neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. They offer more than 1.5 million overnight stays annually, helping families save nearly $443 million in lodging and meal expenses.
Troy Nuss, director of development at Ronald McDonald House of Delaware, attended the event to thank XCH participants for their generosity. Following the event, Troy went on to say, “The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware is a ‘home-away-from-home’ for families who travel to Wilmington seeking medical treatment for their children. We thank you for donating 27 stuffed bears from your recent event.”
As a sustainable business, Xavier Creative House has incorporated philanthropy into its culture. The company chose a program called “The Best Medicine – Quiz Wiz Edition” in partnership with Impact 4 Good because it combined spirited morale-building with a component that benefited local families. Xavier highly recommends considering Impact 4 Good (www.impact4good.com), a company that runs socially conscious team-building programs, to plan events that would be competitive and fun for participants while making a difference.
