How to Find the Face of Confidence
Dear House Rules,
I heard the presence of a human face on my website could increase consumer confidence and increase sales. Is that true? If so, where on my site do I incorporate those images and whose face should I use?
Sincerely,

Dear Picture,
It is true that conversion rates are typically higher on websites that include pictures of real people. There are a number of ways to execute this strategy for your business. Start with photographs of the people who run the business. That encourages immediate credibility and recognition of your human side to your customers. But, don’t stop there; get creative by incorporating your customers and your community service photos in your marketing.
8 Ways to Get Live Photos on your Site
1. Founder’s photo on the home page
2. Leadership headshots on the about page
3. Employee group shot on the services page
4. Candid shots from company sponsored community service projects on the home/press page
5. Employees interacting with customers on the case study page
6. Pictures of those who provide recommendations on the testimonial page
7. Shot of company executive received an award on press page
8. Photos of employees in training class or at an educational conference on the services page
If you want to encourage “The Bucks Stops Here” mentality, start by putting a face to your brand by following these tips for your website and all of your social media outreach.
